Kathimerini<\/a> (\u039a\u03b1\u03b8\u03b7\u03bc\u03b5\u03c1\u03b9\u03bd\u03ae) is a daily newspaper in Greece. They asked me to write 350 words for an op-ed in today’s edition as part of a debate on cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n

It’s not up on the site yet\u00a0\u2014 maybe tomorrow \u2014 but if you’re in Greece, you can see it in the printed paper, on page 22!<\/p>\n

I’m told the translation got my points across well. I’ll probably post my original English text tomorrow \u2014 which may or may not show up in the English edition<\/a> of the paper.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Ariel Glenn for getting the paper and sending a photo, and Yannis Pailiologos<\/a> at Kathimerini for arranging this and doing the translation.<\/p>\n

And the name of the book is at the bottom, which is most pleasing.<\/p>\n

Today I learnt that the Greek word for “bitcoin” is “bitcoin”, in Latin lettering.<\/p>\n
