Thanks.&#8221;<\/a><\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Russia to ICO promoters: &#8220;You call tokens currencies and not securities? Fine, <a href=\"https:\/\/atozmarkets.com\/news\/russia-establishes-ico-license-regulations\">currencies they will be.<\/a>&#8221; Promoters will be required to redeem tokens for cash for five years. And have 100m rubles in assets (about $1.7m) on hand before they start. (HT Ciaran Murray)<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It&#8217;s not just the SEC that ICO promoters need to worry about\u00a0\u2014 buyers can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/legal-risk-icos-private-lawsuits-securities-laws\/\">sue privately<\/a> to get their money back. Including personal liability for the promoters.<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/charliewarzel\/twitter-allowed-cryptocurrency-scammers-to-hijack-verified\">Twitter Allowed Cryptocurrency Scammers To Hijack Verified Accounts To Take People\u2019s Money.<\/a> The scammers didn&#8217;t actually hijack the real account \u2014 they created a <em>new<\/em> account and got that verified fraudulently.<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/thenextweb.com\/hardfork\/2018\/02\/21\/iota-replay-attacks-vulnerability\/\">IOTA is susceptible to replay attacks,<\/a> and they&#8217;re not going to fix it. Fortunately, this doesn&#8217;t matter, because nobody actually uses the network and the price goes up when the network&#8217;s not working.<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Greek MEP Eva Kaili, who put forward that absolutely garbage <a href=\"https:\/\/davidgerard.co.uk\/blockchain\/2018\/02\/16\/a-bad-eu-motion-coming-up-for-vote-2017-2772rsp-distributed-ledger-technologies-and-blockchains-building-trust-with-disintermediation\/?ho1\">EU motion advocating blockchains,<\/a> turns out to be an <a href=\"https:\/\/icobench.com\/ico\/bankera\/team\">ICO advisor, for Bankera.<\/a> So is Lithuanian MEP <span class=\"m_2806830856347223696gmail-st\">Antanas Guoga<\/span>. There&#8217;s a register where you can check MEPs&#8217; financial interests! You have to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/unitedkingdom\/en\/about-us\/faqs.html\">go physically to Brussels or Strasbourg<\/a> to look it up. Jorge Stolfi has duly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ic.unicamp.br\/~stolfi\/temp\/nist-report-review.pdf\">ripped it to pieces.<\/a><\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Michael Seemann: &#8220;Why do all blockchain technologies remain in the project phase and none of them finds a market? The answer is that Blockchain is more an ideology than a technology.
