Mone says: &#8220;This whole cryptocurrency world is based on trust.&#8221; I thought it was based on literally the opposite, but hey. FT and its readers <a href=\"https:\/\/ftalphaville.ft.com\/2018\/02\/06\/2198453\/conservative-peer-stakes-her-name-on-a-crypto-offering-just-as-the-market-crashes\/\">get stuck into it<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/ftalphaville.ft.com\/2018\/02\/09\/2198617\/michelle-mones-avant-garde-dealmaking\/\">again<\/a> \u2014 it&#8217;s a ridiculously bad deal for anyone, but with crypto sauce on top.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>ME: But if I start a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/officialmcafee\/status\/949095831076040704?lang=en\">Nigerian Prince 419 ICO,<\/a> then \u2014<br \/>\nWIFE: <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptocoinconnection.com\/2018\/01\/08\/finacoin-ico-fraud-exposed-tied-to-known-nigerian-419-scammer\/\">No.<\/a><br \/>\nME: dammit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Spotted on Freelancers.com: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freelancer.com\/projects\/ghostwriting\/write-book-16249895\/\">Write a book<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20180208205056\/https:\/\/www.freelancer.com\/projects\/ghostwriting\/write-book-16249895\/\">archive<\/a>). &#8220;The project involves a fictional book of 200 to 300 pages. The subject and plot is based around the bit coin digital currency. The main theme is the discovery of a hidden coded message within the symbols, design features and measurements of the digital currency of bitcoin and how one individual&#8217;s quest to unlock this hidden message brings him into conflict with governments, financial institutions and spy agencies.&#8221; (There was also a previous listing for this job, which was deleted.) You may recall this is the plot of <a href=\"https:\/\/davidgerard.co.uk\/blockchain\/2018\/01\/26\/children-of-satoshi-an-ico-funded-tv-action-drama-about-bitcoin\/\">&#8220;Children of Satoshi.&#8221;<\/a> I emailed 21 Million, and David Lofts says this <em>isn&#8217;t<\/em> them \u2014 &#8221; No \u2014 nothing to do with us, but definitely using our plot.&#8221; He just applied for the job himself &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>It turns out that <em>actually<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@catherinesophie\/bitcoin-is-socialism-heres-why-it-ll-fail-you-755702ffb816\">bitcoin is <em>socialism<\/em><\/a> and bitcoiners are <em>left wingers<\/em> and, uh &#8230; (Be sure to check the comments\u00a0\u2014 can&#8217;t wait for the author&#8217;s writeup of Marksism.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Barry Oners of the Buttcoin Foundation <a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/2018\/02\/05\/buttcoin-subreddit-celebrates-bitcoin-fall\/\">talks to Mashable.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>I thought the Roko&#8217;s Basilisk people would make a <i>change<\/i> from the Bitcoin people.
