I&#8217;m afraid it&#8217;s becoming proper finance jargon. And <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Buttcoin\/comments\/6dzqyy\/a_parasitic_infection_called_crypto_is_on_the\/\">even chlorine<\/a> won&#8217;t clear it up.)<\/p>\n<p>Some stories from the past few days to start us off:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The IRS looks into the value of the Bitcoin blockchain as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/irs-now-has-a-tool-to-unmask-bitcoin-tax-cheats\">prosecution futures<\/a>, after only <a href=\"http:\/\/fortune.com\/2017\/03\/19\/irs-bitcoin-lawsuit\/\">802 people<\/a> in the US actually told them about any bitcoin losses or gains in 2015.\n<p><\/p>\n<li>The most hilarious crypto hack of the week: hackers get $476k by sending a phishing email to everyone on the Enigma ICO&#8217;s Slack chat server. They got the password because the CEO, Guy Zyskind, used the same password for the web server, the Github, the Slack instance and &#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/ethtrader\/comments\/6v0vei\/warning_enigma_website_and_slack_probably_hacked\/dlwztnt\/\">the Ashley Madison aspiring-adultery site<\/a> that got hacked <i><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ashley_Madison_data_breach\">two years<\/a> ago<\/i>. Security? &#8220;Move fast and break things,&#8221; evidently.\n<p><\/p>\n<li>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hypebot.com\/hypebot\/2017\/08\/understanding-music-blockchain-minus-the-hype-revisited.html\">sensible article on music and blockchains<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/what.ocl.is\/\">Alan Graham<\/a>. This piece is about right on the blockchainy side: the technology is seriously just not up to the promises in any direction, and particularly not for music.\n<p><\/p>\n<li>How could we make Brexit go even better than it already is? Maybe we could &#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/aircargoworld.com\/allposts\/brexit-secretary-says-blockchain-can-ameliorate-impending-customs-congestion-2\/\">add a Blockchain!<\/a>\n<p><\/p>\n<li>Vicious statist suppression of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.financemagnates.com\/cryptocurrency\/news\/london-police-arrest-man-suspected-operating-cryptocurrency-boiler-room\/\">entrepreneurial fintech innovators<\/a> continues.
