I wonder how the Australian Securities Exchange blockchain thing is going?<\/p>\n<p>Bundesbank and Deutsche Boerse try settlements on the blockchain. You&#8217;ll be amazed to hear that it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2019-05-29\/blockchain-settlement-was-slow-costly-in-trial-weidmann-says\">slower and more expensive.<\/a> &#8220;Despite numerous tests of blockchain-based prototypes, a real breakthrough in application is missing so far.&#8221; But at least it &#8220;in principle fulfilled all basic regulatory features for financial transactions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ftalphaville.ft.com\/2019\/05\/28\/1559050976000\/Emperor-has-no-clothes--Jaguar-crypto-press-release-edition\/\">Jaguar is <i>not<\/i> putting IOTA into its cars.<\/a> &#8220;The press release was allegedly motivated by a last-ditch effort to draw some sort of value (a.k.a. temporary buzz) out of an otherwise failed investment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Telegram <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/tiny\/telegram-releases-lite-client-for-its-ton-blockchain-test-network\/\">releases a test client<\/a> for its planned TON Blockchain \u2014 the one those $1.7 billion of GRAM tokens will be released on. Hopefully before October 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Wirecard is a German fintech. It&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/davidgerard.co.uk\/blockchain\/2019\/04\/18\/telegram-ton-ico-network-in-beta-the-gram-sales-agreement-new-partner-wirecard\/\">partnering with Telegram<\/a> for TON and its GRAM tokens. Wirecard also tried to get the Financial Times into legal trouble for daring to report on questionable contracts. It turns out Wirecard has likely been an important <a href=\"https:\/\/www.handelsblatt.com\/finanzen\/anlagestrategie\/trends\/zahlungsdienstleister-neue-probleme-fuer-wirecard\/24402666.html\">payment processor for online scams.<\/a> Shares dropped sharply on the report.<\/p>\n<p>EOS has launched a social media platform: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/block-one-is-launching-a-social-media-platform-on-the-eos-blockchain\">Voice.<\/a> &#8220;The chief mechanic Larimer showed off was one in which users could stake Voice tokens to move to the top of a chain of comments. If someone else staked tokens to go above them, the first user would get their tokens back and then some.&#8221; This appears to be in the vein of other EOS innovations such as <a href=\"https:\/\/davidgerard.co.uk\/blockchain\/2018\/10\/13\/everipedia-the-wikipedia-for-being-wrong-but-on-the-blockchain\/\">Everipedia<\/a> \u2014 in which micropayment incentives resulted in a flood of bot spam. No, they&#8217;ve set up something called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defendcrypto.org\/\">&#8220;Defend Crypto&#8221;<\/a> to take on the regulator and &#8230; force it not to take them to court and swing nearly a century&#8217;s precedent at them?
